Or I don’t think I’m creative at all, is this really going to help me. The main question remains: why do I need a mood board?
Sure, you can just create a logo, but it’s just the face of your company, you need to extend beyond just the face of the company! We want to be able to create a brand identity that will effectively communicate your brand’s personality and its value to your potential clients.
As a designer, mood boards allow us the ability to show our clients a proposed look to ensure we are headed in the right direction. As a client, mood boards help to establish all of the baselines that will eventually go into a style guide: color palettes, typography, layout, image treatments.
Per dictionary.com: a board used by designers on which samples of various colors and textures are mounted to help in deciding which elements complement each other.
